I just received this picture from my sister's wedding photographer & editted it to have this 'nostalgic' feel. Is it nice? Haha. (Ok, I look damn short but that's the power of my sister's wedding stilettos okay! Heeheehee.)
2 more days before I go over to Johor Bahru for my sister's first wedding.
4 more days to her second wedding in Singapore.
8 more days to my first paper.
Oh my gosh. How am I gonna be able to cram all the stupid @!&## biological science information into my puny brains?

Seriously having a major LOL moment at this Olympus E-3 camera advertisment.
The major feature of this camera is that it has the fastest auto-focus mode.
Hmmm... I guess all men really do have very quick auto-focus reflexes when it comes to cleavage?

In a happy mood today! Gonna go fetch my sister from the airport tomorrow. She's back from Suzhou! Too bad I haven't gotten my license yet or I'd be given the chance to drive the Honda Integra already! rawwrrr. Nevermind though, cos I can still get to eat Popeyes at the airport! Yippeeee.

Just realised how tiny and insignificant I am in this world.
I'm not a very staunch christian, I don't go to church, I don't do quiet time, or bible study. But I believe in God's presence. There is simply no other explanation for this world we living in, besides Him. At least I feel so.
My friend introduced this video to me. Religious or not, if you have the time, watch it. It's about a baby boy born with deformed organs and wrong DNA in every cell. He couldn't have lived so long... But he was a fighter, and lived for 99 days. So they released 99 balloons into the sky for him when he passed away, and made this video. God bless him, and his courageous, beautiful parents.
My friend showed me this video because he wanted to do a pHD in life science and carry on with research to search for, hopefully, a cure to help babies born with such deformities. Such an unselfish dream (albeit a little ambitious haha ). Anyway, he managed to remind me of God's grace and how thankful I should be for what I have. Really giving thanks now. (: His selfless dream also reminded me of how selfish and aimless I am. I suddenly realised how everything has been revolving around myself. What a tiny world I have... Where does that leave me?

been busy recently! all the tests and stuff. year 2 is seriously much more busy than year 1. moreover i'm teaching tuition and there's still driving etc so yepp. busy! but i like it; makes me feel like i'm making full use of my time on earth.
anyway, i've been meeting all my long lost friends recently! for a short (but nonetheless cherished) period of time. and the location where i met all of them? all occasions are on bus 14! lmao! ((:
felt good to see them. hohoho. it's a small world after all. i can't wait for the sem to end so i can call them up for a get-together soon.
sooo. a brief late post on birthdays in the past month & early oct. happy belated to whoever i didn't manage to wish happy bday to btw. sorry :X
yup. happy bday to zhangquan. it was quite sometime ago, we had teppanyaki (his first time eating it, so noob right) and we each had a free scoop of yummilicious green tea ice cream for free from the restaurant as a birthday treat.
also, happy bday to my 2nd sis! we had yummy food, yummy cake, and yummy japanese sweet wine that day.
my niece is so cute now ! i think she'll grow up to become a total babe.
anyway, i ordered and lugged the cake all the way on the mrt from orchard to home! it was worth the lug, cos the cake is DELISH. it's from cedele :D
yup... and it's nearing the end of the e-learning week, and i've been doing everything BUT e-learning. haaa. i prefer normal school days where i have to sit my butt in the lecture halls, cos then i won't procrastinate so much. hahaa.
yea, but the good thing about not having to go to school is that i managed to chill for a bit.

hahaa, poor poh, we're gonna train him to become a great singer! i want more more more ktv! after my final sem exams, in dec i hope! and i also want popiah. hehs. ^^
also had dinner with daryl & cipto @ some rather well hidden jap restaurant at liang court. the atmosphere there was not bad!
my nabeyaki udon! loves udon whee. :D we played the arcade. playing initial d made my muscles ache. indicates that i should exercise more soon!! daryl is really quite an arcade pro. a movie next time, perhaps?
p.s. will upload all the pics on fb when it's less laggy! uploaded some alr. :D

Apparently, this is a chinese saying of why the wedding ring is worn on the fourth finger.
Take some time to watch the video, try it out yourself, and you realise you really can't move your fourth finger.
P.S. please keep both your middle fingers tightly pressed to each other or it won't work.
I'm chinese, but I have never heard of this saying! Wonder if it's true, or just something some bo-liao guy cooked up while playing with his fingers. Haha!

Taylor Swift.
I suppose all of you know her? She's the country singer who sang 'Love Story' and 'Teardrops on my guitar' and 'You Belong with Me'. I kinda like her songs, although my favourite female singer is still Christina Aguilera. Cos' I feel that although Swift's songs are nice, her lyrics always revolve around crushes and teenage issues, which is a little too 'teeny boppy' to me.
Anyway, I used to think that Taylor Swift is super pretty.
I mean, look at this picture! Her skin and hair's so pretty!!!
Then recently I went to a blogshop and bought a dress inspired by Taylor Swift's style. There I saw some very weird pictures of her. I goggled more pictures of her, and realised something.
Taylor actually has very strange features!
Nonetheless, I still bought the dress which looks like a cross between the red dresses she's wearing above despite the fact that she looks quite weird in the pictures. :P
I'm so into RED nowadays!
Ok, more weird Taylor pictures:
If you zoom in on her face, her features really look kinda weird right?
Maybe it's her eyes cos' they are shaped like cat eyes.
Just decided to share cos' I find it quite amazing and confusing that someone who has relatively weird features (no offence, Taylor, I still like you and your songs!) can still be so attractive.
Maybe it's not just the looks, personality and talent and substance probably matter too.
Also, just wanted to introduce another up and rising country singer to you guys.
Julianne Hough.
I really like her! Her songs are nice. I embedded one of her songs below, you can listen to it.
Moreover, she's a very good dancer! I think she's a ballroom dancer. Haven't had time to watch the videos yet.
And she's only 20. That's like my age. Yikes!
Gosh, sometimes I look at these beautiful and talented people. Then I look into the mirror, see myself, and think, "What happened here?!" But then I think again and realise how lucky I am to just be healthy and loved. Haha.
Ok, back to study. 3 tests coming up. I miss having a life. :(

whee.. decided to switch to livejournal cos there's this function to post different avatars for each individual post! had so much fun choosing photographs to make into avatars but there's a maximum of 15 avatars that you can upload. that's not enough! so sad :(
anyway, it was friday and the start of the so-called 1 week 'holiday', so i decided to celebrate by going to ikea with zhangquan! he came over to NUS to crash my last lecture. awww... it would be nice having ur bf in the same school. even better if he's in the same year as u.
anyway, en told me that her friend ate the new 'stuffed salmon' at ikea and said it wasn't nice.
i went over to ikea... & to my disappointment discovered my favourite NON-stuffed salmon dish has been discontinued and scraped from the menu :( so i ordered fish and chips instead. it sucked.
the dishes- my fish and chips and his chicken thigh wasn't worth it at all... only the meatballs were good. such a disappointing meal! :( won't be going back to ikea for some time!
heehee.. posing with the ikea furniture.. if only my house was just as pretty! i know ikea furniture's quality isn't very good but i like how clean-cut and fuss-free everything looks!

i think the must-try flavours are 'strawberry fields' & 'd24 durian'! damn niceee! if you're an alcoholic (like jen),go for 'rum and raisin'! the taste of rum is super strong.
